I started in Arai when dearest Pocket suggested I contact Joie with some pics. As she always did, Joie tok me on with no experience and without me ever paying one Linden, her team taught me everything I know. Joie didn’t believe in exploiting people to become models by charging exorbitant fees, she invested in them with the hope they would make up her large model pool. We always worked and were always paid. Run on similar lines to RL reputable model agencies I suspect where if you fit the agency philosophy, they took you on.
I wish Joie all the best. She was a real tiger :-)) in the nicest possible way.

I would like to say many of us owe a thanks to Joie Arai for our beginings in the field of Modeling. She took a chance on us and brought us into the Arai Agency with no previous background or training. For that reason alone Arai deserves to be listed here.
On another note. Diversity is not a branch off of Arai. Yes we come from Arai and are still friends with Arai and cheer each other on. I personally learned alot from Joie Arai on how to develop an Agency and train models. Diversity began in August of 2008 before Arai closed its doors. We are happy to hear that it has once again opened and have taken to the Runway.
